Directions: If your vehicle has been repainted, test spray on a small area before beginning to paint.

Step 1:

Prepare surface by removing dirt, wax, polish, grease and rust.

Step 2:

Sand with #400 wet or dry sandpaper blending sanded area into surrounding surfaces.

Step 3:

Remove sanding dust.

Step 4:

If bare metal is exposed, prime with Dupli-Color® Truck, Van and SUV Primer, following instructions on can. Use only Dupli-Color® Primer, as Truck, Van and SUV Paint may not be compatible with other primers.

Step 5:

Mask off glass, chrome and trim to protect from overspray.

Step 6:

Shake can for 2 full minutes after ball begins to rattle. Repeat for 10 seconds after each minute of use.

Step 7:

To spray, hold can 6-10 inches from surface. Press spray button all the way down. Use steady, even strokes and keep can parallel to surface being sprayed. DO NOT SPRAY WITH CAN HELD AT AN ANGLE. Spray with rapid movements back and forth, and apply light coats. Applying heavy coats will produce runs and sags. Allow paint to become tacky between coats. Do not use when humidity is high. Use only when can and surface temperatures are between 68º-92ºF.

Step 8:

After use, invert can and spray until only clear gas comes out. If spray button becomes clogged, wipe off orifice with lacquer thinner. DO NOT stick pins or wire into can opening.

Step 9:

After 48 hours, check your work. If you want an even smoother finish, apply a mild rubbing compound to blend painted area into surrounding surfaces.
